Discipline to Teach

Anger and sadness are okay! With every outburst there is an opportunity to connect by identifying the emotion your child is experiencing, being with them in the moment and then offering redirection and self-soothe techniques. Engage your child to consider all the options...learn more about these techniques in the Whole Brain Child and No Drama Discipline by Daniel Siegel, MD & Tina Payne Bryson, PHD

Emotional Intelligence

The Heart of Parenting presents a 5-step method that builds emotional intelligence and creates positive, long lasting effects for children. Easy to learn, and used by parents, educators and care-givers, it supports kids through life’s ups and downs in a way that builds confidence and helps them grow socially, emotionally and intellectually.

  • Researchers have found that even more than IQ, your emotional awareness and ability to handle feelings will determine your success and happiness in all walks of life. Acclaimed researchers and therapists Drs. John and Julie Gottman present this proven program to show you how to be there for your child when it really counts. Manual or On-line Program

Sand Play & Trauma-Informed Play Therapy

Sand and art therapies open communication avenues when words are hard to find. This form of therapy provides an excellent medium for families where all members can express their thoughts, concerns and feelings.

What is sandplay therapy?

Through the use of sand and miniatures an individual is able to creatively express themselves going to depths deeper than they may even be aware, it's not just for kids, adults too can find healing through the use of sand.
